If you are a beginner rider, getting back in the saddle or experienced, April Woods Stable can accommodate your needs. We have ponies and horses of varying skills available for lessons in english or western seat. Our lessons are custom designed for each student with a individual lesson program and goals set by the student. Grooming, handling and tacking-up are included in the lesson to give the student confidence working around horses, as if they actually owned their own horse! Personal attention, ground work, along with riding is combined and tailored to each students ability and client satisfaction. Riding lessons give confidence, are fun and safety is number one.

We also offer lease programs that are customized to the clients needs. Please call for more information.

Guest Instructor, Laurie Chapman Bosco. We are pleased to have Laurie teach at our barn. Laurie is an Associate Professor & Chair of Applied Animal Science, Equine Management at the Thompson School of Applied Science. She has been working with horses for more than 30 years. Laurie is an active horse management judge, test prep clinician, and national examiner for the United States Pony Clubs (USPC). She currently serves as a vice president of instruction for the USPC.
